So It Begins
Here we go.
Audition time is about to start, and so far I am definitely going to Saarbrücken and Mainz in January to see if I have a chance there. Apart from that, nothing is confirmed yet. There might be a possibility in Wiesbaden but I'm still waiting for confirmation of an audition date. I was also invited to Leipzig, but I can't go as I have to be Prince Charming in T's Dornröschen on the day. I'm not terribly disappointed, though. I think Leipzig is a bit too classical for me.
I'm feeling excited and a little nervous. There is no sense of desparation or expectation this time, which is a good thing. I have a backup plan if I don't find a job in a theatre, and it might not be such a bad thing at all. I think this journey will be very different to my last audition tour.
There is, of course, the occasional feeling of dread that my life is going to fade into nothingness and that my career is about to end. However, if I look back, I know that if I keep fighting, then everything will work out in the end. And if nothing has worked, it means it's not yet the end. Let's go!
