Chapter 2 - the Recovery
I’m back in Australia and I’ve had some time to recover from my deportation.
I’m still a little shaken by the whole experience, and even the thought of getting on a plane gives me the shivers. I thought I used to hate flying.
The good thing is, things are still moving along. I am collecting all the documents I need to get this visa, and the company is doing all they can to quicken the process. They’re actually sending the contracts via DHL. It’s amazing how something like this can cause a whole group of people to be suddenly efficient and communicative. Maybe this expensive weekend wasn’t such a bad thing after all. For them, anyway.
Another good thing is that I still have some time here. I may get a little bit of summer after all. Sigh, the things we do for dance.
